Pre-Construction Phase
During this phase, design and construction proceed concurrently and the prime role of the project manager is to maintain the timeous flow of information to the contractor and sub-contractors.
At SIP we understand the importance of a project manager's managerial prowess, flair for innovation and the ability to deal with complicated and timeous construction requirements. Another key to success in the construction phase is effective communication. SIP is fully capable of communicating effectively with charge-hand, foreman, consultants and top management alike.
Working hand-in-hand with Contractors
The main contractor is viewed as part of the team and SIP strives towards motivating and assisting him in organising the construction activity. One of the first tasks of SIP is to marry the contractor's programme to the documentation programme, overseeing any amendments which may be required for information flow to the contractor.
A close working relationship and rapport with the contractor's key personnel is established because SIP believes that as with other aspects of project management, the key to success in the construction phase is close and effective communication.
Site Co-ordination
Establishing efficient and effective collaboration between the various consultants and contractors, means working towards achieving a common goal. |
